Force Restart Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra in the US

If your Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra freezes or becomes unresponsive in the United States, a force restart can safely reboot your device without erasing data. Here’s the correct method to do it — especially useful if your screen is stuck or the phone won’t respond to touch.

Step 1: Press and Hold the Buttons

Simultaneously press and hold the Volume Down button and the Power (Side) button. Keep holding both for about 10–15 seconds until the Samsung logo appears on screen.

Step 2: Wait for the Device to Reboot

Once the logo appears, release both buttons. Your Galaxy S25 Ultra will perform a soft reboot — no apps, photos, or files will be deleted.

Step 3: Charge if the Device Doesn’t Restart

If the screen stays black, plug the phone into its original charger for at least 5 minutes and retry the same button combination. Low battery can prevent a force restart from working properly.

Step 4: Update After Recovery

After restarting, go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install to ensure your device has the latest firmware. Many system freezes are fixed through minor updates released by Samsung in the U.S.

Step 5: Use Safe Mode if Freezes Continue

If your Galaxy S25 Ultra keeps freezing, boot into Safe Mode by pressing and holding Power > Power Off > Safe Mode. This disables third-party apps so you can find the cause of instability.

AvNexo Tip

If your device becomes unresponsive while charging or during updates, wait at least 30 seconds before attempting a force restart. This ensures the power circuit stabilizes and avoids potential firmware interruptions.
